The organizers of the Emmys sent out the dress code to all attendees who were beaming in from over 100 locations around the world for the event to “come as you are.” Basically, they were giving permission to be go casual, be creative or wear couture.

For their moments on the show’s set at the Staples Center in Los Angeles or to wear during their celebrations at off-site location, several stars went full glam in gowns and diamond treasures. Tracee Ellis Ross expressed the sentiment of this group in her Instagram post, saying “How fun to get dressed up!” Others wore nightgowns and beamed in from home. Several elevated these looks with diamond jewelry.

Jennifer Aniston was the first female star to present an award at the Emmys. To the pleasure of her massive fan base, she sported her signature red-carpet combo: a black dress and diamond jewelry. This go-round the diamonds were vintage pieces from Neil Lane. The Bachelor jeweler explained, when I reached by phone during the ceremony, that he was “thrilled” she chose the 19th century jewel composed of over 50-carats of diamonds and a vintage diamond bracelet from his Neil Lane Couture collection.

Later in the evening, Aniston joined the casual ranks and changed out of her evening gown into a satin robe, but she kept on the jewels. She beamed into the show for an instantly iconic bit with two members of the Friends cast Courtney Cox and Lisa Kudrow.
