Every year, viewers and red carpet watchers wait with bated breath for Rihanna to arrive at the annual Met Gala. On fashion’s biggest night, an exclusive assembly of A-list guests gather in New York City for the Costume Institute Benefit – but some stars stand out time and time again.

Rihanna has become the undisputed queen of the Met Gala over the years. The Fenty Beauty mogul has attended 10 Met Galas throughout her career, shining in decadent diamond jewels from Cartier, Bulgari, Chopard, and more.

While the Grammy-winner has been known to skip the grand soirée on a few occasions, we’re betting she’ll be there this Monday, wearing extravagant natural diamonds, as usual. Her boyfriend and co-parent, A$AP Rocky, is one of the evening’s co-chairs, along with actor Colman Domingo, Formula 1 racecar driver Lewis Hamilton, and multihyphenate talent Pharrell Williams. Serving alongside the gala’s longtime honorary host Anna Wintour, legendary basketball star LeBron James will serve as honorary chair.

This year, the exhibit, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” will open on May 10 and will showcase a historical and cultural exploration of Black style over 300 years through the concept of dandyism. The theme and dress code for evening is “Tailored for You,” reflecting the spotlight on menswear and suiting.

The 2025 Met Gala will take place on the first Monday in May. On May 5, the red carpet will begin at about 4:30 p.m. EST.

Here, Only Natural Diamonds looks back on Rihanna’s very best diamond jewelry moments from Met Galas past.

Rihanna completed her look with a antique old mine diamond rivière necklace from Kentshire and a vintage Cartier crucifix, first created in 1934. Cartier London reintroduced the piece in 1949. The original design featured gold, silver, natural diamonds, opal, pearls, rubies, sapphires, and topaz.
