Every year, viewers and red carpet watchers wait with bated breath for the Rihanna Met Gala appearance. On fashion’s biggest night, an exclusive assembly of A-list guests gathers in New York City for the Costume Institute Benefit – but some stars stand out time and time again.
Rihanna has become the undisputed queen of the Met Gala over the years. The Fenty Beauty mogul has attended 11 Met Galas throughout her career, shining in decadent diamond jewels from Cartier, Bulgari, Chopard, and more. Last year, her partner A$AP Rocky was one of the evening’s co-chairs, and she took the opportunity to announce her third pregnancy, revealing her baby bump on the red carpet.
Meet the Expert

Briony Raymond founded her namesake New York jewelry atelier in 2015. She is a distinguished expert in fine jewelry, renowned for creating custom pieces and curating vintage collections for her clients.
This year, Beyoncé serves as co-chair alongside Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour. The 2026 Gala will debut the exhibition, “Costume Art,” which will explore the juxtaposition between garments and works of art, along with “the complex interplay between artistic representations of the body and fashion as an embodied art form,” according to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The Gala dress code will be “Fashion Is Art,” inviting its esteemed guests to express their unique relationship to fashion as an art form and to celebrate depictions of the dressed body throughout history.
