Last night, the NBA debuted the Oklahoma City Thunder Championship Ring, designed by athlete-loved jeweler Zo Frost, in collaboration with The Champions Collective, a division of Jostens. The ring features 800 custom-cut natural diamonds and gemstones, thoughtfully designed to represent the OKC Thunder’s incredible 2024-2025 season that culminated in their World Champion status.

“The Thunder’s 2025 championship ring is a fusion of art and innovation,” said Chris Poitras, SVP & GM of The Champions Collective, in a press release. “It was a privilege to work with the Thunder organization to celebrate their first-ever championship.”

Ahead, get all of the diamond details on the Oklahoma City Thunder championship ring.

Eagle-eyed basketball fans will spot stats, records, and wins with plenty of hidden easter eggs throughout the design of the Oklahoma City Thunder Championship Ring. The face features the Larry O’Brien Trophy and the “OKC” shield logo, filled with natural diamonds and surrounded by 46 blue sapphires, honoring the team’s fan base and connection to the Sooner State. The diamonds within the shield are “set together to represent the bond of the team,” according to a press release from The Champions Collective.

The left side of the Oklahoma City Thunder Championship ring features the Thunder’s incredible 68-14 regular season record, framed by an orange sapphire and blue sapphire on each side. Above that is the player’s last name, engraved in 14K gold, and below it, their jersey number is encrusted with natural diamonds.

On the right-hand side, the team name “THUNDER” is engraved in 14K white gold between hand-set natural blue and orange sapphires. A band of princess-cut orange sapphires runs around the ring above a 14K yellow gold engraving of “2025” set with 30 round brilliant diamonds and the NBA logo. The iconic OKC shield logo finishes the right-side panel design of the ring.

The ring also features a detachable top that houses a hidden band—a more subtle and perhaps convenient way for the players to represent their team and their victory. The band is personalized with the player’s signature and diamond-set jersey number, with an additional 94 diamonds on the top and bottom perimeter of the band. The numbers of every teammate wrap around the band, which rests on an engraving of the team holding the Larry O’Brien Trophy, which itself is topped with a round, brilliant-cut diamond.

The design of the ring carries a profound tribute on its bottom exterior palm side, where a detailed engraving pays homage to the Gates of Time and the Reflecting Pool at the Oklahoma City National Memorial. To further capture the symbolism, a line of striking blue taper-cut sapphires has been set into the band, their rich color evoking the still, restorative waters of the Reflecting Pool. On the interior palm side of the ring, a second layer of meaning is revealed: the Latin phrase “Labor Omnia Vincit”—Oklahoma’s state motto, meaning “work conquers all things.” This timeless inscription serves as a reminder of resilience, unity, and the enduring spirit of the community.

The Oklahoma City Thunder Championship Ring Ceremony

The ring ceremony was held during the 2025-2026 season opener at the Thunder’s home arena in Oklahoma City, where they kicked off the season against the Houston Rockets. Thunder players, Thunder Chairman Clay Bennett, Thunder Executive Vice President and General Manager Sam Presti, and Coach Mark Daigneault were all in attendance to receive their incredible new Championship rings. Bennett personally handed out the rings to each of the players, who excitedly tried them on for the first time on court while posing for photos.

Last year’s Championship Ring, created for the 2023–2024 season winners, the Boston Celtics, was designed by Jason of Beverly Hills, the jeweler known for pushing creative boundaries in sports jewelry design. Weighing in with an impressive 15 carats of natural diamonds, the ring sparkled with emerald accents that paid homage to the team’s iconic green-and-white colors. Every detail was carefully considered to honor the Celtics’ remarkable legacy as one of the most storied franchises in NBA history.

The dazzling design commemorated the team’s record-breaking achievement—their 18th championship title—while incorporating a number of “hidden easter eggs” that only the most attentive fans would recognize. Among the most striking is the side bezel, set with 84 individual points of diamonds, a nod to the Celtics’ extraordinary 84% playoff winning percentage during their triumphant 2024 campaign. Combined with the emerald details and innovative custom cuts, the ring not only celebrated the franchise’s past glory but also underscored the spirit, resilience, and championship DNA that carried the Celtics to victory.

The Oklahoma City Thunder Championship Ring is not only a feat of design innovation but also a powerful symbol of what this milestone means for the team and the city they represent. Every gemstone, engraving, and hidden detail tells a story of perseverance, teamwork, and the community that rallied behind them throughout their historic season.

Beyond its sparkle, the ring stands as a lasting reminder of the Thunder’s first-ever NBA title and the legacy they are now building in Oklahoma City. With the momentum of their 2024–2025 triumph, all eyes will be on the Thunder as they set out to defend their crown. Let’s see if this remarkable team can capture the magic again and bring home another ring in the 2025–2026 season!
