Last night, Cassie and Nate’s over-the-top wedding took center stage in season 3, episode 3 of Euphoria. Complete with $50,000 worth of flowers, a questionably flattering ice sculpture, and a corseted Jackson Wiederhoeft bridal gown featuring a dramatic 16-foot train, the spectacle was nothing short of maximalist. Cassie (portrayed by Sydney Sweeney) was equally dazzling in layers of diamonds, perfectly matching the unapologetic exuberance of the nuptials.

Take a look at the best jewelry moments from season 3 of Euphoria so far.

Sweeney described the wedding as “full-blown glamour” in the Euphoria after-show. Cassie wore waterfall-style Cartier Lignes Essentielles earrings with three rows of dangling brilliant-cut diamonds, teamed with a Cartier Lignes Essentielles three-row necklace set with brilliant-cut natural diamonds, and, of course, her diamond engagement ring.

Costume designer Natasha Newman-Thomas said in the after-show, “Cartier provided half a million dollars’ worth of diamonds.” She added with a giggle, “Thank you, Cartier!”

Shown throughout season 3, Cassie’s diamond engagement ring from Nate Jacobs features a round-cut central stone with a 4-prong setting, flanked by two pear-shaped diamonds in an east-west setting on a platinum band. In fact, round engagement rings are the most popular choice for couples seeking a sparkling symbol of love and commitment, with round diamonds accounting for approximately 75% of all diamonds sold. On her wedding day, Cassie wore it above a thin, dainty diamond eternity band

This isn’t the first time Cassie has sported Cartier this season; she’s consistently worn a white gold, yellow gold, and rose gold Cartier Trinity Necklace, teamed with a smaller iteration of the style, featuring a central brilliant-cut diamond.

The Cartier Trinity motif was born in 1924, when Louis Cartier created one ring composed of three intertwined bands – a daring design move at the time, considering the chromatic combination, the fluidity of the rings, the clean lines, and the modern simplicity of the piece. Now, the legendary jewelry house has interpreted the design into necklaces, bracelets, and earrings as well.

It’s quickly becoming a signature look for Cassie, we’re just hoping that whoever Nate owes money to won’t be able to identify these sparklers.

As the ex-girlfriend of the groom and the ex-best friend of the bride, Maddy Perez (portrayed by Alexa Demie) made an entrance with impact before the chaos reached a fever pitch with corks and fists flying.

Walking in wearing a slinky olive green gown with a matching fur boa, the back of Maddy’s dress is all tied together with a delicate rosary. Euphoria actress Alexa Demie referenced Maddy’s diamond cross necklace from season one. “Maddy’s worn a cross from season one and season three even more,” she said in the after-show. “It’s a bold move to have the rosary hanging right above my tasteful bum.” She said with a giggle, “God can be anywhere.”

Whether worn as a symbol of one’s religion, a talisman of hope, or simply a style choice, the diamond cross necklace has endured as a jewelry staple for millennia. Throughout history, the influence of the cross has stretched far beyond the Christian faith, cementing a permanent place in pop culture.

Maddy has consistently worn a custom VSA rosary necklace, which the brand describes as “something personal, a little devotional, a little dramatic, exactly right for her world.”

As the season progresses, here’s hoping to see even more diamond jewelry moments from the Euphoria girls.
