Actress Amanda Seyfried's best diamond jewelry looks

One of the most acclaimed actresses of her generation, Amanda Seyfried has been a red carpet mainstay since her breakout role as the sweet, but dim-witted Karen Smith in the 2004 teen classic Mean Girls. In the years since, the 35-year-old star has been a featured player in numerous critical and box office standouts like Mamma Mia!, Jennifer’s Body, Dear John, Letters to Juliet, Red Riding Hood, Les Misérables, Ted 2, First Reformed,” Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again and The Art of Racing in the Rain. With her classic Hollywood looks and youthful, modern approach to style, Seyfried has been one to watch on red carpets for nearly two decades.

Now the Golden Globe and SAG Award-nominated starlet is up for her first Oscar for her scene-stealing portrayal of screen icon Marion Davies in David Fincher’s historical drama Mank. The acclaimed drama is up for ten Academy Awards, including Best Picture, so all eyes will be on Seyfried to see how she dominates the red carpet at one of the first in-person award shows since the coronavirus pandemic began. With the help of stylist Elizabeth Stewart, who has worked with A-listers ranging from Sandra Bullock to Viola Davis, Seyfried continues to hit it out of the park by pairing her Old Hollywood beauty with knockout diamond pieces, whether it be statement earrings or a million dollar necklace.

Seyfried kicked off 2021’s awards season by making a million dollar statement. The starlet’s blooming pink Oscar de la Renta gown would have been a vision on its own, but she really stood out at the Golden Globes in Forevermark‘s Exceptional Diamond Collection Vivid Yellow Diamond Drop Earrings, which, weighing in at a whopping 10.43 total carats were a rare sight to see. She also wore a diamond choker from Forevermark by Rahaminov, that was set in 18 karat white gold and clocked in at 12.35 carats total. With the two pieces being valued at about one million—yes, million—dollars combined, there was no way her Zoom shot could be missed during the virtual ceremony. “The Forevermark diamonds I’m wearing tonight are bringing the glamour of the red carpet to the virtual Golden Globes,” she said of the pricey pieces. “The beauty of natural diamonds makes these pieces so special to wear.”

Blushing Beauty at the 76th Venice International Film Festival

Taking attention away from an Alexander McQueen dress is no easy feat, especially one as stunning as the flowing pink Pre-Fall 2019 number she wore to the Jaeger-LeCoultre Gala Dinner during the 76th Venice Film Festival. But Seyfried found the perfect accessories to the asymmetrical and corseted garment: a luxurious pair of Piaget high jewelry earrings in white gold set with exceptional pear-shaped diamonds from the Swiss jeweler’s Treasure High Jewellery Collection. She also adorned her wrist with a magnificent Joaillerie 101 Feuille watch by Jaeger-LeCoultre, made of white gold with two rows of 167 brilliant cut diamonds totaling 10.3 carats. Easily mistaken for a tennis bracelet, the piece actually houses some of the world’s smallest mechanical movements and a watch face hidden behind a sliding swoosh of diamonds.

The Independent Spirit Awards are famous for being one of the most casual award shows in Hollywood, regularly taking place as an afternoon luncheon set on the beaches of Los Angeles. As a result, you often see star trading in gowns for more comfortable cocktail dresses. Cocktail attire aside, Seyfried didn’t skimp out on the jewels at the 2018 ceremony, dazzling in a pair of Piaget Sunny Side of Life earrings in 18 carat white gold featuring white and natural fancy yellow diamonds. She once again complemented another McQueen dress with Piaget bling, this time offsetting the white cutout number with her petit diamond-set Piaget Gem of Roses bracelet.

It would be a crime to attend the Met Gala without upping the ‘wow factor,’ and in 2015, Seyfried did just that. The performer was a vision in white in her custom halter-neck Givenchy Couture gown that was adorned with floral appliqués. To accentuate the intricately designed dress, she wore Art Deco-inspired diamond and rubellite drop earrings from Tiffany & Co. that were on perfect display thanks to the sleek bun in her hair. Also providing bling amid the shining lightbulbs was a similarly Art Deco-inspired three-row diamond bracelet from the American luxury jeweler. “She likes diamonds but she always likes a pop of color,” her stylist Stewart said about the look.

For Seyfried’s first appearance at the SAG Awards as a nominee in 2013, the actress made sure her jewelry did all the talking. Despite sporting a form-fitting navy Zac Posen gown, it was all eyes on the long, Art Deco-inspired Lorraine Schwartz necklace running down her front.  Its large lavender jade centerpiece was set in white gold and diamonds and hanging on an extra-long diamond chain, proving the star isn’t afraid to take a jewelry risk to stand out from the crowd. She kept her signature blonde waves pulled over one shoulder, showing off the classic diamond studs on her ear that juxtaposed the edgy piece.

Blinding Bling at the 82nd Annual Academy Awards

Seyfried showed off her red carpet chops in an icy strapless Giorgio Armani Privé gown at the 2010 Oscars, but the real focus of the night came from the blinding bling accompanying her champagne-hued dress. For this look, she traded in neck wear for a series of jaw-dropping bangles on her wrist, which included three wide multi-colored diamond bracelets by Lorraine Schwartz, one being a zigzag pattern cuff that exquisitely matched the shape of her fitted bodice. It was the perfect way to add a funky streak to her princess-like look. Even more, the trio of natural cognac, champagne and mint-hued diamond pieces totaled a whopping 250 carats—and that’s not counting  the natural fancy colored diamond earrings and diamond ring she also wore. Not bad for a woman who was once best known for sporting pink Juicy Couture on Wednesdays…
