The Most Outrageous Yet Wearable Jewelry at Paris High Jewelry 2025
By Sam Broekema, July 11, 2025
Brands both historic and new to the scene focus on high jewelry that is as spectacular as it is wearable.

Dior Exquis High Jewelry Collection
Wearability and practicality are not the first words one associates with high jewelry. However, the most recent high jewelry collections shown during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week emphasized just that. It’s fitting that the collections showed the same week that Jane Birkin’s eponymous Hermès handbag hit $10 million dollars at Sotheby’s.
When handbag prices are hitting record highs, fine and high jewelry seem like a smarter investment. Therefore, there is a growing movement to get jewelry out of the safes and out into the streets. True, true, those streets may be the tony Rue de la Paix or Avenue Montaigne. Cartier, De Beers, along with many others including high jewelry newcomers Dries Criel and Jessica McCormack presented collections of jewelry extraordinary in nature but no one could ask, “Where am I going to wear that?” The unspoken answer is anywhere they bring you joy.

Boucheron High Jewelry

Creative Director Claire Choisne is renowned for her daring and thoughtful approach to high jewelry. Boucheron’s latest offering, Impermanence, is no exception and addresses the fragile beauty of nature through Ikebana-inspired tableaux, each containing flowers and insects. The above masterpiece comprises an iris, wisteria, and a stag beetle, with white and black diamonds set in aluminum and Corian.
It would be a crime for the owner of this not to give pride of place to decorating a table or mantel, but I suspect that these pieces will more frequently grace a lapel. Composition number 3, above, features the Iris brooch in white diamonds, titanium, and white gold; the Wisteria brooch in white diamonds, in white ceramic, aluminum, and titanium; and the Stag Beetle brooch in white diamonds, titanium, and white gold.
Buccellati High Jewelry

Storied Italian house Buccellati is known for the precision of their artisans, and their high jewelry often showcases their traditional codes, such as the honeycomb, to maximum effect. This year the brand decided to emphasize wearability and utility through a trio of high jewelry handbags. This is not the first time the brand has created evening bags; the tradition dates to the 1920s when Mario Buccellati first embroidered evening clutch bags with gold and precious stones, famously a must have at La Scala Theater in Milan, serendipitously located next to Buccellati’s workshop. Handbag in green velvet in yellow and white gold set with diamonds and rubellite.
Chanel High Jewelry

A collection titled Reach for the Stars may not seem a good place to start for daywear, but the above pieces from the new collection would be right at home worn with a tweed blazer and the iconic ballet flat. The above bolo tie captures the Cowboy Carter mood and could take itswearer from concert to cocktail party with ease. Blazing Star necklace in white gold, round, brilliant, and pear-shaped diamonds and onyx. The hanging lines can be detached to be worn separately as a bracelet, and shorter necklace.
Chopard High Jewelry

Caroline Scheufele, Chopard’s Co-President is known for the Red Carpet Collection which officially debuts on the red carpet at Cannes. The creative director has even launched a runway fashion collection to showcase the fabulous gems. However, alongside these offerings are a selection of high jewelry watches which perfectly marry beauty and function. The above diamond watch set in ethical 18k white set with over 20 carats of pear-shaped, nearly 12 carats of brilliant-cute and marquise-cut natural diamonds.
David Morris High Jewelry

Pink diamonds have been all over the news recently. With great timing, London-based jeweler David Morris reveals the spectacular array of Argyle pink diamonds at their disposal. Additionally, the current obsession with the 1990s sees these heart-shaped earrings arriving right on time. The Rare Perfection Couture Collection highlights spectacular gems and the brand’s outstanding craftsmanship. The Light of Heart earrings feature heart shaped diamond center stones surrounded by clouds of fancy pink diamonds.
De Beers High Jewelry

No other jeweler can boast that they are both the source of the gem and the design of the jewel. The Essence of Nature collection highlights trees that thrive in the countries where natural diamonds are found. The jacaranda tree inspires the above set. Bouquets of diamonds bloom in pear-shaped, marquise, and round brilliant cut surround an impressive 1.01 carat Fancy Intense Pink diamond for one ring and a 20.10 carat D-Flawless pear-shaped white diamond in another. The rings are articulated to move with the wearer, and while extraordinarily rare and precious, they are youthful and bold to express the style of who wears it.
Dior High Jewelry

Victoire de Castellane, Artistic Director of Dior Joaillerie since 1998, has mined the legacy of Monsieur Dior season after season and for the latest collection, Diorexquis is no exception. Sweeping landscapes, lush floral arrangements, and, Dior being an Haute Couture house first and foremost, gala balls. However, de Castellane has hit upon something exquisite, but also infinitely wearable. The asymmetrical floral ear cuff would be as gorgeous on a red carpet as dressing up a white t-shirt and jeans. The savoir-faire of Dior is evident in the bouquets of diamond cuts used in coordinating ear cuff, collar, and headband.
Dries Criel High Jewelry

Antwerp serves as home and inspiration to the designer, and his first official High Jewelry outing is an evolution of his signature shapes. The Double Lotus bracelet with a central 10 carat natural fancy yellow radiant cut diamond with snow signature paving and emeralds is extravagant but one can imagine how this bold cuff could become someone’s signature piece, worn everywhere from ballroom to boardroom to family lunch.
Graff High Jewelry

The 1963 suite is the key piece for Graff’s high jewelry outing. The year is a reference to the decade Graff was founded, and the freedom of the swinging sixties is an apt expression of the week. Each design is rigorous in its technique, but the swooping curves are expressed in baguette-cut diamonds, each custom-cut for the design.
Gucci High Jewelry

Every house has their codes, and the Gucci Horsebit motif is a classic from way back, decorating now iconic shoes and handbags. For their new High Jewelry collection, Gucci explores this legacy to extremely wearable effect as the above model shows. A linear design of diamonds culminates in a horsebit encrusted in sapphires surrounded a 5.19 carat masterpiece.
Jessica McCormack High Jewelry

No stranger to the theme of the week, Jessica McCormack near invented the denim and diamonds trend. Showing the collection a suite at the Ritz, ropes of diamond festooned with jawbreaker-sized diamond and emerald pendants, the designer casually tossed on the above earring version, and it looked right at home with a black t-shirt, and you guessed it, jeans.
Messika High Jewelry

Valérie Messika recently traveled to Namibia and the country, which is an important source of extraordinary natural diamonds, inspired her latest collection, Lands of Instinct. The shifting desert sands and the play of shadow and light are captured in yellow gold and diamonds. Much like a mirage, the necklace reveals gold or diamond based upon your viewpoint.
Mikimoto High Jewelry

The legendary pearl house has increased its natural diamond pieces as of late, and Les Pétales collection is no exception. No one could say the above headpiece is not high jewelry, but the lightness and sweetness of the piece express a lovely youthfulness. The showstopper is crafted in white diamonds, pearls, and tourmaline.
Nikos Koulis High Jewelry

On the tails of last fall’s highly successful high jewelry collection, Wish, the designer “popped up” in the storied venue of Sotheby’s to display the latest creations that augment his current collections. The marquise continues to have a moment beyond Selena Gomez and the above titanium bracelet with mirrored surfaces playing behind the already impressive stones don’t need to trick the eye. What is most surprising about the creation is the lightness and wearability.
Pasquale Bruni High Jewelry

The house named the collection Rosina after a strong and fiery member of the family, and the above choker certainly would inspire a heroine from Verdi. Diamonds set in flexible white gold petals embrace the neck of the wearer. However, if this feels like too much of a look, the brand offers a version that can transform from pendant to brooch to belt.
Pomellato High Jewelry

Collezione 1967 shows that the 1990s isn’t the only era holding a place in the collective imagination. Milan-based Pomellato prides itself on empowering women, supporting female-led causes, and showcasing strong voices like Jane Fonda in campaigns. The above high jewelry masterpiece would be right at home on La Fonda in any age, though the transformable belt, cuff, and necklace could have walked off the set of her iconic role in Klute.
Repossi High Jewelry

Gaia Repossi presented her largest collection, Blast in the gardens of the Musée du Quai Branley beneath the twinkling lights of the Eiffel Tower. The designs are based upon heritage designs, but the volume of the cuff above is timeless. Based upon a heritage motif of the golden thread, the cuff culminates in a smattering of au courant pear-shaped diamonds.
Sahag Arslanian High Jewelry

The debut of Antwerp-based Sahag Arslanian at the Automobile Club de France on Place de la Concorde was a love letter to natural diamonds. A fancy yellow diamond centers a yellow gold collar set in diamond pavé meant to represent the phases of the moon. The Lunar Eclipse necklace features over 18 carats of white round-cut diamonds and a nearly 16 carat Fancy Yellow oval cut diamond.
Vhernier High Jewelry

The brands iconic Ardis collection was the starting point to their High Jewelry debut during Paris Haute Couture. The Brancusi Foundation was a fitting location as the artist inspired so much of the brand’s design heritage. The above rose gold necklace above features both white and yellow diamonds to celebrate the warmth of the sun and certainly this piece will be out and about rather than in the dark of the vault.
