One red carpet moment in particular has stood out for the actress: the 2023 Met Gala. “It’s pretty epic that night,” she exclusively revealed to Only Natural Diamonds. “It’s overwhelming because there are so many people… but I felt extremely confident because I had this pear-shaped De Beers diamond.”

But it’s not just the red carpet jewels that have given James an appreciation for the rare, timeless stones. “I held [the natural diamond] and you feel the history and the power,” she said of her time visiting a cutting and polishing facility in Botswana. “It’s like Mother Earth.” James spent a week in Botswana, where she toured diamond mines and other facilities, while also visiting local schools and wildlife game parks funded by the industry. It was an eye-opening and educational journey for the actress, one that she will remember for years to come.
