For the Grammy Awards’ A-list attendees, thinking outside of the box when it comes to red carpet fashion and jewelry is not only accepted, it’s highly encouraged. After all, the world’s most popular musicians and performers are anything but boring.

Known as “Music’s Biggest Night,” the Grammy Awards celebrate music of all genres, which makes for an eclectic guest list and unforgettable fashion moments that live on long after the show comes to a close. From Cher’s whimsical post-divorce look in 1974 to the mountain of diamond layers on Lenny Kravitz, these Grammy diamond jewelry looks have rightfully earned a place in red carpet fashion history.

Kendrick Lamar’s beloved track “Not Like Us” swept the Grammy Awards 2025. The rapper sported a double-denim Maison Margiela Canadian Tuxedo (shoutout to Drake?) and a diamond chain Jesus pendant, similar to that of pieces owned by the Notorious B.I.G. and Rick Ross.

The jewelery designer told Marion Fasel all about the look. “Bey wanted something oversized and avant-garde for the 2018 Grammys,” remembered Schwartz. “I worked extensively with her stylist, Marni Senofonte, and made paper cut-outs of the earrings for shape and scale before manufacturing them. They were big but lightweight because we used titanium. They are covered in 70 carats of diamonds. Large diamonds totaling around 35 carats formed the centerpiece of the designs.”
