Bella Hadid is to the Cannes Film Festival what Rihanna is to the Met Gala: the ultimate and undisputed queen. Always the epitome of fashion and covered in natural diamonds, a Bella Hadid Cannes appearance is synonymous with dripping in jewels on the red carpet of the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès.
This week, Bella Hadid graced the opening ceremony of the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, wearing exceptional Chopard diamond jewelry. As the Global Ambassador of the jeweler since 2024, Hadid said in a press release, “I feel so fortunate to wear its breathtaking Haute Joaillerie creations on such an iconic stage. There’s nothing quite like the magic of Cannes with Chopard by your side.” The model currently stars in the Maison’s latest L’Heure du Diamant campaign.

Chopard has been the official partner of the Cannes Film Festival since 1998, as well as the creator of the Palme d’or. The Maison supports emerging talent through the Trophée Chopard. Angelina Jolie will serve as the Godmother of the Trophée Chopard, to be presented to actress Marie Colomb and True Detective: Night Country actor Finn Bennett during the 78th Cannes Film Festival.
Established in 2001, the award celebrates emerging international talent in cinema, each year honoring one actress and one actor with promising careers. “I am honored to be Godmother at the Cannes Film Festival,” Jolie said in a press release. “I am pleased to have a moment to recognize young artists and their exceptional work.”
Chopard also launches its annual Red Carpet Haute Joaillerie Collection during Cannes. The creations, designed by Caroline Scheufele, are brought to life on the famous red-carpeted steps, worn by actresses and supermodels like Hadid.

Bella Hadid Cannes Film Festival 2025
Hadid made her way down the red carpet in a black slinky Saint Laurent gown alongside Chopard’s Caroline Scheufele for the screening of the film ‘Partir un Jour.’ The supermodel adorned incredible earrings from the Red Carpet Collection, featuring 118.68 carats of emeralds and 10.31 carats of diamond clusters, set in 18-karat white gold. Hadid wore two rings from the Haute Joaillerie Collection, including one with a 12.15-carat heart-shaped diamond surrounded by additional diamonds, and another with a 15.01-carat emerald-cut diamond, accented with extra diamonds.
After her journey down the red carpet, Hadid channeled Audrey Hepburn’s classic Breakfast at Tiffany’s LDB in a Jacquemus frock with Chopard diamond jewels, including the Precious Lace Vague diamond earrings and a Precious Lace diamond necklace.
Bella Hadid Cannes Film Festival 2024
Before naked dresses were outlawed at the annual film festival, Bella Hadid wore a black sheer vintage Atelier Versace gown from the Spring/Summer 2001 Couture collection with Chopard diamond chandelier earrings from the Haute Joaillerie collection in 2024, styled by Molly Dickson.
At the red carpet premiere of The Apprentice, Hadid wore a brown see-through Saint Laurent body-con frock with an array of yellow diamond rings in a variety of shapes and settings as well as princess-cut yellow diamond drop earrings from Chopard.
Bella Hadid Cannes Film Festival 2022
In 2022, Hadid went with a graphic black and white vintage Chanel Fall/Winter 1986 creation from Sielian Vintage in West Hollywood to attend the “Chopard Loves Cinema” Gala dinner during the Cannes Film Festival. She added on dazzling natural diamond stud earrings, a Chopard diamond ring, and a Chopard diamond necklace.

On the 2021 Cannes red carpet, Hadid channeled the iconic Naomi Campbell, wearing a vintage Jean Paul Gaultier gown from the Spring/Summer 2002 Haute Couture collection, originally modeled by Campbell on the runway. She added sparkle to her ensemble with Chopard pear-drop diamond earrings and a 5.45-carat marquise-cut diamond ring. The next day of the festival, Hadid attended a dinner hosted by Chopard, wearing a feathered Lanvin ensemble with dazzling diamond cocktail rings and Chopard earrings, featuring 13.41 carats of emeralds and 13.77 carats of natural diamonds.
