Social networking and e-commerce platforms have made it easier than ever for couples to discover independent designers all around the world. Independent studios also have a more comprehensive range of marketing options at their disposal, which may help them attract new customers. The result? Brides who choose stunning diamond jewellery designs that live just west of the familiar.

This magnificent collection of jewellery worn by the world’s most recognizable brides showcases hundreds of carats of diamonds and gemstones, which have been fashioned into necklaces, earrings and, of course wedding rings.

Let’s take a look:

Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal

Choosing Sabyasachi for her wedding jewellery, Katrina wore bespoke bridal jewellery of uncut diamonds in 22-karat gold adorned with hand strung pearls from Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery. We were treated to a glimpse of her gorgeous engagement ring, which featured a large tanzanite surrounded by diamonds and set in platinum — the highly sought-after Soleste diamond engagement ring with a blue sapphire from Tiffany & Co. Absolutely regal.

Paris Hilton and Carter Reum

Paris kept her jewellery uncomplicated, opting for a single pair of extraordinary diamond drop earrings to complement her quartet of bridal dresses. The engagement ring for the heiress was designed by Jean Dousset, the great-great-grandson of renowned French jeweller Louis Cartier. The ring is set with a 20-carat emerald-cut centre stone and two shield-cut diamonds, all of which are held in place by a tension setting. At the base of the ring’s head, delicate pavé diamonds offer a touch of sparkle while maintaining the band’s traditional aesthetic.

Rhea Kapoor and Karan Boolani

Rhea wore jewellery passed down from her mother on her wedding day, with her convention-defying one-of-a-kind pearl veil, which was crafted by Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas Jewellers. However, the essential component that anchored her firmly in the present was her elegant and tasteful engagement ring, an exceptional classic. It is crafted of platinum and features a natural diamond solitaire placed along two principal lines, which creates a lasting impression.

Anushka Ranjan and Aditya Seal

Anushka Ranjan exuded effortless elegance as a bride, wearing the Statement Modular Solitaire necklace that was styled in traditional Indian motifs and created by the Ruani Jewellery Collective for her. The restrained and delicate necklace design offsets the actresses’ strong features, making her radiance irresistible. Her bridal lehenga had a complex embroidered bodice, sheer sleeves, and sequin-encrusted tassels on the bottom.

Lady Kitty Spencer and Michael Lewis

The model, aristocrat, and the niece of the late Princess Diana married Michael Lewis in spectacular fashion. The wedding had nods to South Africa, Italy, and her English background which came through in her décor and fabulous dresses, but what pulled the details together was her stunning natural diamond jewellery. Lady Kitty made sure she displayed the familial aptitude for style commonly associated with her famous aunt, from restrained and refined jewellery designs featured during the ceremony to more extravagant and opulent pieces at subsequent wedding events.

Dia Mirza and Vaibhav Rekhi

Dia looked as beautiful as ever in a red Banarasi saree by Raw Mango, accessorized with a choker set, jhumkismaang tikka, green Maharashtrian bangles, and a gajra to complete her outfit. But it was her exquisite engagement ring that drew the attention of attendees and paparazzi alike, a brilliant diamond solitaire that suited the actress and social worker’s essence – modern, graceful and versatile.

Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez

Ariana wore a simple set of Lorraine Schwartz pearl and diamond earrings for her wedding day. The drop earrings complimented her engagement ring, which was custom-designed for her husband Dalton with Jack Solow of Solow & Co. He selected a Toi et Moi ring with a pearl nestled beside a tilted oval diamond. The ring has a stunning slanted oval-cut diamond set alongside a white pearl, mounted on a traditional yellow gold band.

Evelyn Sharma and Tushaan Bhindi

Evelyn opted for a simple, understated look for her wedding. She was styled with minimalist make up, except for a subtle pink tint to her eyeshadow. Her hair was tied in a loose and unstructured half-knot for the celebration. Her dangling earrings, which were inlaid with natural diamonds were incredibly stunning and added a much-needed touch of glam, while still fitting in beautifully with her vintage aesthetic.

Natasha Dalal and Varun Dhawan

A glittering diamond heavy jewellery set, earrings with a centre emerald and pearl drops, and a matching maang tikka were all part of Natasha’s stunning ensemble. The epitome of the modern bride, it was only fitting that her pastel-coloured attire be accented with diamond bangles, white chooras, and accentuating silver kalerees. The bride made waves when she chose a jewellery set, she had previously worn on other occasions, illustrating the versatility and longevity of natural diamonds.

Every showstopper this year has taken the time to select jewellery that reflects their personal style. As a bride, your wedding day is a time for you to celebrate and appreciate all of your unique qualities as a woman and the uniqueness of your relationship with your fiancé.

After all, there’s no better time than now.
