Rahul Desai is an independent writer, columnist and film critic. He has been professionally reviewing films (Mumbai Mirror, Upperstall) since 2013, and has a dedicated Film Companion by-line since 2016. His cinema and sports columns have appeared in publications such as The Hindu, Arre, Open Magazine and FirstPost. He also runs a film blog and podcast called India Independent Films. In his spare time, he loves travelling to all the locations of the films he writes about.
