Beneath the dazzling chandeliers of the legendary Salle des Étoiles, Monaco hosted the very first edition of the Grand Prix de la Haute Joaillerie (GPHJ) — an unprecedented event dedicated to excellence, creativity, and the savoir-faire of the world’s greatest jewelry houses.
Alongside the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer and Profirst, the Natural Diamond Council (NDC) stood as a natural partner for this exceptional evening, reaffirming its commitment to authentic, ethical, and culturally significant diamonds.

Natural Diamonds at the Heart of the Grand Prix de la Haute Joaillerie Celebration

As the official partner of the GPHJ, the Natural Diamond Council found in this event a perfect echo of its mission: to promote the cultural, emotional, and enduring value of natural diamonds.
By placing natural gemstones at the center of the competition, the Grand Prix paid tribute to the nobility of genuine gems, born of millions of years and human craftsmanship.
“This Grand Prix embodies the very essence of fine jewelry: emotion, transmission, and beauty born from nature and elevated by the human hand,” said David Kellie, CEO of the Natural Diamond Council. “We are proud to support an event that celebrates authenticity and responsibility — two values inseparable from the natural diamond.”
Grand Prix de la Haute Joaillerie: A Tribute to Creation

Designed as the jewelry world’s counterpart to major watchmaking or film awards, the Grand Prix brought together the most prestigious names in the field: Boucheron, Bulgari, Chopard, Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Messika, Tiffany & Co., Buccellati, Anna Hu, Dolce & Gabbana, among others.
Each house presented a masterpiece, an exceptional creation where the beauty of the stones met innovation and technical virtuosity.
An international jury of collectors, journalists, and experts recognized the year’s most outstanding achievements across several categories: Design, Heritage, Savoir-Faire, Gemstone, Emerging Talent, and a Public Prize, voted both online and during the Monaco exhibition.
A Monegasque Setting for the Art of Jewelry

As a cradle of refinement and glamour, the Principality of Monaco reaffirmed its status as a capital of contemporary luxury.
Under the high patronage of the Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer and ProFirst, the evening unfolded in a sumptuous setting, with a festive yet reverent atmosphere celebrating traditional craftsmanship.
Guests — jewelers, creators, collectors, journalists, and art world personalities — attended a ceremony filled with spectacular presentations and emotional moments.
“This marks a new chapter for high jewelry,” said Jean-Philippe Braud, founder of the Grand Prix de la Haute Joaillerie. “This award celebrates artisans, creators, and the timeless magic of natural gemstones.”
Between Heritage and the Future

By honoring natural materials, human hands, and creative vision, the Grand Prix de la Haute Joaillerie reflects a deeper movement: that of conscious jewelry — one that carries history and meaning.
For the Natural Diamond Council, this partnership symbolizes a strong conviction: the natural diamond is not merely an ornament, but a living heritage, a universal cultural symbol that connects civilizations and generations.
A Night of Emotion

Beyond the trophies and lights, this evening was above all a human and artistic encounter.
From creators to master craftsmen, from collectors to institutions, all shared the same passion — that of jewelry as an art form standing at the crossroads of dream and reality.
A rare emotion, magnified by the sparkle of natural diamonds — witnesses to the beauty of our world and to the ingenuity of those who elevate it.
