DiamondDect 3

DiamondDect 3 is a portable desktop diamond verification instrument for mounted and loose stones, designed to separate diamonds from synthetic diamonds. DiamondDect 3 is manually operated but gives an automatic test result.

The below results demonstrate the performance of the DiamondDect 3 with the ASSURE Core Sample:

Diamond False Positive Rate (optimal rate 0%): 0%
Diamond Referral Rate (optimal rate 0%): 0.6%
Diamond Accuracy Rate (optimal rate 100%): 96.4%
Speed (stones tested per hour): 289

The ASSURE Core Sample consists of 1,000 loose diamonds, 200 loose synthetic diamonds and 200 loose diamond simulants. The stones are 0.02ct to 0.20ct in D-J colour.

The below results demonstrate the performance of the DiamondDect 3 with the ASSURE Smalls Sample:

Diamond False Positive Rate (optimal rate 0%): 1.0%
Diamond Referral Rate (optimal rate 0%): 4%
Diamond Accuracy Rate (optimal rate 100%): 90.6%
Speed (stones tested per hour): 289

The ASSURE Smalls Sample consists of 1,000 loose diamonds, 200 loose synthetic diamonds and 200 loose diamond simulants. The stones are 0.005 ct to 0.02 ct in D-J colour.

The instrument tests individual loose and mounted stones and automatically displays one of the following results:

  1. Natural
  2. CVD Synthetic
  3. Abnormal

The ‘abnormal’ results could contain potential synthetic diamonds and diamonds. These referrals should be tested further for full verification. DiamondDect 3 need to be recalibrated before usage or after it has been moved.
