A tribute to their most major style moments.

Instagram’s Outfit of the Day is all well and good — but what about those of us craving something a little… shinier? Meet Drip of the Day: Your one-stop guide to the best celebrity jewelry looks of all time.

This week, we pay tribute to Zendaya and Margot Robbie. These two style icons both started out as teen TV stars, and they both leapt straight to the A-list on the strength of breakout film performances: Zendaya in Spider-Man: Homecoming and Margot as the instantly iconic blonde bombshell Naomi in The Wolf of Wall Street.

When it comes to style, they’re both experts at totally modern glamour, with red carpet looks that combine cult designer pieces with diamond jewelry that ranges from minimalist cool to million-dollar major. Straight ahead, a look at their most stunning style moments ever.

Zendaya has come a long way from her Disney days. When she’s not starring in blockbuster movie franchises or her critically acclaimed HBO series Euphoria, she also finds time to serve as ambassador for Bulgari, the famed  Italian luxury brand famous for exquisite fine jewelry. Earlier this year, Zendaya helped launch the brand’s B.zero1 Rock jewelry collection – an edgy take on  fine jewelry that showcases precious metals and diamond stones in their boldest, most fearless form.

Zen hit the red carpet in a menswear-inspired ‘fit featuring a Rahul Mishra couture gown over tailored black trousers, accessorized by the most stunning jewelry piece from the collection: a necklace featuring 6 cascading strands of diamonds and a central blue sapphire in a mounting that is certainly a nod to jewelry style of the 1920s. Not a bad way to light up the red carpet.

Have we mentioned that Zendaya is also the face of French beauty brand Lancôme? (very chill, doesn’t make us feel like underachievers at all.)

At last fall’s Idole fragrance launch in Paris, Zendaya wore a simple blush-pink gown whose sequin accents were outdone only by her accessories: a truly remarkable set of spiral-shaped diamond earrings from Chopard’s exclusive Haute Joaillerie Collection and two diamond statement rings from the brand’s Magical Setting Collection. Each diamond ring features concentric circles of glittering diamonds surrounding a larger, brilliant center stone creating a million dollar look without the million dollar price tag. The perfect specimen of Zen’s cool, modern approach to glamour.

Bulgari, Chopard, what other iconic jeweler are we missing? Ah yes — Cartier. At the 2019 Emmy Awards, Zendaya continued her streak of modernizing creations from the world’s most luxurious fashion houses, appearing in a rich green custom corset dress by Vera Wang, matching silk heels, and the most striking diamond jewelry accessories of all: Panthère de Cartier drop earrings featuring diamonds, emeralds, and onyx (a similar pair goes for $150,000), and an Agrafe Cuff Bracelet by Cartier featuring a staggering 1,300 brilliant-cut diamonds totaling nearly 30 carats, which retails for about $236,000. When we say she looks like a million dollars, we’re barely exaggerating.

Million Dollar Margot at the 2015 Academy Awards

If Margot Robbie wasn’t already a household name for her breakout role in 2013’s The Wolf of Wall Street, this mic-drop jewelry moment might have done it. Margot hit the 2015 Academy Awards red carpet in a chic, Saint Laurent gown, plus one jaw-dropping accessory: an ultra-rare antique Zip Necklace by Van Cleef & Arpels.

The Zip Necklace features brilliant cut diamonds and sapphires set in gold, and has a serious pedigree: It was created by the haute jeweler at the suggestion of the Duchess of Windsor. Each Zip Necklace is painstakingly crafted by hand by Van Cleef & Arpels’s most talented artisans and takes between 800-1200 hours to create. Margot’s diamond necklace in particular featured 150 diamonds and 300 sapphires and costs a cool $1.5 million dollars. As Margot joked that night, “This necklace is worth more than my life!”

Margot showed us how true modern glamour is done at the 2016 Academy Awards. In her gilded snakeskin gown by Tom Ford, she channeled not just Old Hollywood glitz, but the Oscar statuette itself.

We especially love how Margot modernized her traditional gown with a cool tasseled minaudière by The Row and the best finishing touch of all: brilliant diamond jewelry classics  by Forevermark. Her Forevermark diamond earrings featured 9 carats of diamonds  set in white gold, while her Forevermark Diamond Eternity Band and Pear-Shaped Diamond solitaire ring added another 9 carats of pure sparkle.

At the London premiere of Goodbye Christopher Robin, Margot evoked her film’s vintage setting with an ivory silk gown by Brock Collection. As always, Margot makes her look modern with natural makeup, unfussy hair and simple yet stunning diamond jewelry accessories.

Here, Margot echoes her dress’s floral print with Daisy Heritage Diamond Drop Earrings by Asprey London. The whimsical floral earrings feature 114 individually set marquise cut and pavé diamonds. Their total weight is 9 carats, and they’ll set you back a casual $45,000.
