The year may be 2021, but nonetheless, many jewelry designers showing at COUTURE were fixated on a bygone decade: the 1970s. In the spirit of the Netflix series, Halston, about the designer that epitomized the era, styles including big medallions, statement bangles and dance floor-ready rings were all in great abundance. Here are a few of the 70s-inspired jewelry highlights born ready to hit the club:

Gismondi 1754

Gismondi 1754’s rose gold Aura cuff infused with ten carats of champagne diamonds knocked our socks off, to put it lightly. Featuring concentric circles in a concave and convex design, the style proved positively hypnotizing. We tried it on and—good news—it feels just as good as it looks. It’s the kind of 70s-inspired jewelry piece that deserves its own party.

Pomellato

Like eight mini disco balls for your fingers, these Pomellato rings made our heads spin, and got us in the mood to put on a party dress and twirl the night away. Pair the 18 karat rose gold Sabia ring set with white diamonds with the white, brown and black diamond version for maximum impact. Both feature 111 diamonds weighing 1.6 carats.

Almasika

Circles, circles, circles! This gold and diamond Sagesse Universum pave medallion from Almasika is perfect for layering or wearing alone as a statement piece. The 23 millimeter medallion is set with rings of white diamonds on an 18 inch chain. The designer also has a choker version featuring multiple connected medallions set with concentric circles of diamonds, you know, in case you want to double your pleasure, double your fun.

Vendorofa

This striking collar necklace at Vendorafa was calling our names, big time, and elicited visions of throwing on with a big kaftan and sipping a cocktail poolside. This is the kind of wear-anywhere piece that should be in every collection. Modern, timeless and downright chic, the 18 karat yellow gold necklace, which took 80 hours to handcraft, features two overlapping circles—one in polished gold and one in hammered gold—set with 3.5 carats of diamonds lining their edges. Dubbed the “Hula Hoop,” it’s literally made to wear while swinging one’s hips.
