About this series: Welcome to Diamond Doppelgänger—where we chronicle the celebrity jewelry looks of your favorite stars and influencers. In each installment, we’ll identify trend-defying style moments from Hollywood’s most fashionable and track down the diamond details so you can shop ‘em yourself. First up: Robyn Rihanna Fenty.

Now more than ever, fashion and nostalgia offer the solace and escapism we crave most during these times. That’s why we’re uniting the two in our new series, Diamond Doppelgänger. The hope is that even if you find yourself all dressed up with nowhere to go, the experience of jewelry trend-hunting and (window) shopping won’t lose its luster.

It’s only natural to kick it off with Robyn Rihanna Fenty, the Barbadian songstress whose crossover into the fashion and beauty space has cemented her as a force across industries. From red carpet appearances and magazine covers to concert performances and launch parties, Rihanna has never shied away from a diamond accent. In fact, her embrace of natural diamonds mirrors the everlasting relationship between musicians and their diamond bling. Even in her most understated moments, Rihanna is fearless when it comes to turning it up a notch with diamond jewelry—sporting a triple-stacked diamond ear cuff or an 18K gold and diamond pinky ring, just because.

Several months back when Rihanna was busy making the rounds promoting her luxury label, Fenty, she blessed us with camera-catching diamond jewelry looks on the streets of New York, Los Angeles, and London from which we can still glean plenty of style inspiration today.

Dazzling Diamond Alternatives for Your Rihanna Jewelry Favorites

One such look came in February, when Rihanna appeared at Bergdorf Goodman during New York Fashion Week for her Fenty pop-up. Rihanna’s stylist, Jahleel Weaver, paired a burnt orange parka with a turtleneck sweater dress in a similar shade (all Fenty) and absolutely went off when it came to the sparkling embellishments. Her diamond hoop earrings are by Sue Gragg, but you can shop a similar round and baguette diamond style from Ross-Simons. They feature cutouts like Rihanna’s original diamond earrings, hang just over an inch, shine in an 18K yellow gold finish, and have a total diamond carat weight of 3. The price point sits at $699. Her three-row stacked ear cuff is by Melissa Kaye and is approximately 1.45cts in 18K gold. It rings up at a luxe $6,500. She also wears a Shay pave diamond heart pinky ring in black gold that you can buy for $3,150. As for necklaces, Rihanna’s expertly layered necklace looks featured a number of diamond cross pendants from Chrome Hearts and Rafaello & Co. The white gold version of one of the diamond pendant necklaces can be found here.

In another of her trademark monochrome looks from last fall, Rihanna arrived at the Porcelain Ball in head-to-toe white. Her pave link diamond choker is by Shay, but a suitable alternative (with considerably less bling) is Loren Stewart’s $600 XL diamond chain necklace. She donned another Chrome Hearts cross pendant, but you can find a more affordable match in this David Yurman black diamond pendant necklace. And although her dangling teardrop earring is by Loree Rodkin, an option for less is Stone’s Cry Me A River diamond earrings for $1,766. In case that isn’t enough diamond drippage for ya, Rihanna kept her wrist frosted with a Chopard diamond watch. The brand has a variety of more modest diamond-clad options like this diamond, quartz, and stainless steel timepiece.

Diamond Stud Earrings Fit for the Rihanna Diamond Ball

We’d be remiss not to spotlight a look from Rihanna’s very own Diamond Ball, her annual gala that supports the Clara Lionel Foundation she founded in 2012. In this throwback from one of the early Diamond Balls, Rihanna’s slicked back hair put the focal point on her makeup and diamond accessories. Her flawless Cartier cushion cut diamond earrings come at a steep price, but a more affordable alternative is The Last Line’s 14K white-gold diamond stud earrings for $1,250. For a similar ear cuff to Ri, try a Maria Tash lobe eternity earring.

After combing through Ri’s latest and greatest getups, it’s clear a few fashion and jewelry designers rise to the top as far as accessories go: Chrome Hearts, Maria Tash, and Shay. Of course, none of these looks would glimmer and gleam without Rihanna’s megawatt star power. So, if you’re setting out to channel the style icon’s timeless diamond pieces, be sure to pair it with a punch of personality.
