The return of the Met Gala delivered on its promise of high fashion, celebrity sightings and mesmerizing diamond jewelry looks, and many of the A-list 2021 attendees were styled by Image Architect Law Roach. Though Law Roach spent much of his time hard at work making sure clients like Addison Rae, Chance the Rapper and Kirsten Corley, Lewis Hamilton, Kehlani and Hunter Schafer were red carpet-ready, the trendsetter and Natural Diamond Council Style Collective member walked the Met Gala in style, all while wearing diamonds from Brooklyn-based designer Malyia McNaughton of Made by Malyia, a participant of our Emerging Designers Diamond Initiative.
Law’s pieces from Made By Malyia are part of an 11 piece collection featured in our latest ‘For Moments Like No Other’ campaign starring Ana de Armas. Law chose the Open Signet Ring and Embrace Link Bracelet from the collection, both of which are now available for pre-order on MadeByMalyia.com.
Throughout the night Law mingled with other emerging Black designers, brought to the Met Gala by Lewis Hamilton, who purchased a table at the event to give these talented designers a well-deserved seat at the table.
Malyia McNaughton is one of six designers in the NDC’s Emerging Designers Diamond Initiative in partnership with Lorraine Schwartz. The initiative sets out to create a more equitable future for the jewelry industry by helping to level the playing field for emerging BIPOC design talent.
The NDC approached Ms. McNaughton separate to her participation in EDDI and commissioned her to design an 11 piece diamond jewelry collection specifically for the NDC’s global advertising campaign starring Ana de Armas, to be sold direct-to-consumer on Malyia’s website as well as in-store through retail partners of the NDC nationwide.
We were thrilled that Law Roach chose to wear Malyia McNaughton’s Open Signet Ring and Embrace Link Bracelet from the collection for an occasion as grand as the Met Gala.
