The Best Diamond Jewelry from the SAG Awards Red Carpet—Then and Now

The SAG Awards have always delivered exceptional Hollywood glamor, thanks to the high-caliber blend of television stars, silver screen favorites, and their natural diamond jewelry lighting up the red carpet.

This year, the 2024 Screen Actors Guild Awards will air on Saturday, February 24. Feature films Barbie and Oppenheimer are leading the pack in nominations with television series like The Crown, Succession and Abbott Elementary earning nods as well. With nominees like Margot Robbie, Quinta Brunson, Emily Blunt, Lily Gladstone, Emma Stone and Penélope Cruz, and more, this year’s ceremony is sure to be another very fashionable year, covered in diamond baubles. Since the very first ceremony in 1995, the SAG Awards have distinguished themselves as a night to celebrate authenticity and rarity. The denizens of Tinsletown have called upon natural diamonds to help convey that story for one of Hollywood’s most glamorous nights, from the classic to the unexpected.

In 2010, Kate Hudson’s Cartier diamond Sautoir Spotlight necklace worn in reverse, dangling down her back caught our attention while Charlize Theron cause commotion in 2020 with a Tiffany & Co. diamond bracelet braided into her hair’s middle part. Zendaya is known to deliver exceptional Hollywood glamour on the red carpet, and the 2023 SAG Awards was no exception. As both a nominee and a presenter, Zendaya wore a custom pink Valentino Haute Couture gown. As a Bulgari brand ambassador, the award-winning actress dazzled in an epic Bulgari diamond necklace with gemstones in aqua, light pink and purple, as well as an assortment of rings and a shimmering bedazzled bangle.

2023: Cara Delvingne

A Dior-clad Charlize Theron wore Tiffany & Co. diamond earrings at the 2020 awards ceremony and got creative with natural diamonds in her hair. The Bombshell star adorned a Tiffany bracelet twinkling like starlight right down her center-parted blonde pixie cut.

2019: Rachel Brosnahan

Some earrings are gorgeous, but these can only be described as iconic. They are perfectly fitting for Rachel Brosnahan, who was nominated for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel at the SAG Awards in 2019. This show certainly calls for its star to fully embody its delightful title—and Brosnahan was up to the task with these stunning earrings. Brosnahan opted for long, diamond encrusted ribbon earrings created by Los Angeles-based designer Irene Neuwirth. 2017: Ellie Kemper

In 2017, Ellie Kemper arrived at the 23rd annual SAG Awards wearing Forevermark earrings that made a major statement. The earrings were 18.61 carats in total, but the true stars of the show were the 9-carat diamonds dangling from the bottom of each gorgeous earring. The stones were set in platinum and valued at $1.2 million.

2016: Sofía Vergara

They featured 9.2 carats in total, and beautifully reflected light thanks to a perfect emerald cut. The 19th annual SAG Awards in 2013 brought with them tons of elegant looks, but none were more impressive than Jessica Chastain’s bold red gown and Harry Winston choker. The necklace features round and pear-shaped diamonds in a brilliant cut. While the piece perfectly follows her neckline, the cascading flow of diamonds at the center is intended to emulate the fluidity of water.

2013: Amanda Seyfried

While this look may be from the 16th annual SAG Awards in 2010, the Cartier jewels are truly timeless. Kate Hudson opted to wear the long Sautoir Spotlight necklace down her back for a dramatic, sensual look. The necklace features a cluster of cascading diamond tassels that are absolutely divine and beautifully complement the earrings. Hudson also wore diamond chandelier earrings that added a touch of glamour to her crisp white boatneck gown.

2001: Sarah Jessica Parker
