Bold fashion, A-list celebrities and chart-topping tunes were just the beginning when it came to the highlights from the 2021 American Music Awards. Hosted by Cardi B, the American Music Awards delivered with unforgettable performances by Silk Sonic, Chlöe Bailey, Bad Bunny and others, but we couldn’t keep our eyes off of the diamonds the stars wore on the red carpet.

Here are the diamond jewelry looks from the American Music Awards that made the night shine.

Chlöe Bailey of sister-duo Chlöe x Halle hit the red carpet in a black asymmetrical, cut-out heavy, body-baring gown and jewelry that also didn’t shy away from the spotlight. Her chunky diamond half-hoop earrings and thick diamond cuff were balanced by a a stack of thinner diamond bracelets and a Diamonds by the Yard(r)-esque belly chain, the perfect hint at the current early 2000s fashion resurgence.

Chlöe x Halle’s other half, Halle Bailey, also took the extreme cut-out route for this year’s AMAs. While she let her revealing gown do most of the talking, her fingers glittered with multiple diamond rings and her face lit up thanks to diamond and black diamond drop earrings.

Olivia Rodrigo was all about the mermaid vibes on the red carpet, with voluminous waves, a shimmery transparent lavender curve-hugging dress and enormous diamond drop earrings that caught the light with her every movement.

TikTok influencer Pierson Wodzynski turned up the glam, pairing her strapless sunshine yellow gown with a thick diamond riviere and earrings featuring striking black diamonds suspended from large diamond clusters.

Canadian singer-songwriter Tate McRae took a sophisticated yet fun red carpet turn, wearing a white blazer-inspired mini dress with exaggerated sleeve detail. Your average business casual look, this was far from. McRae accessorized with thick, classic diamond hoops and a diamond riviere quite literally dripping with diamonds.

Good thing Bad Bunny showed up in a mint puffer. After all, he was brought a ton of ice with him. Exemplifying the men-wearing-diamonds movement, the Puerto Rican rapper/singer/songwriter/actor wore a multi-carat diamond ring, and a graduated diamond riviere layered with a diamond dog tag necklace.

Bachelorette star Michelle Young’s punchy lemon-lime gown and large, open, airy diamond hoops brought a bit of island breeze to the American Music Awards.

Between her headpiece and jewel-strewn gown, Winnie Harlow’s AMAs look was head-to-toe sparkle. Perhaps the most subtle part , her diamond-encrusted chain earrings (one of our favorite fall trends) could totally be worn on an everyday basis. Stay on the lookout to see if she sports them again.

From Dance Moms to YouTube and beyond, JoJo Siwa was practically born with a knack for the spotlight. At the AMAs, the dancer/singer/personality debuted a glam new look featuring delicate diamonds and a solid ear-story game.

Kali Uchis completed her pale pink borrowed-from-the-boudoir look with some heavy duty bling in the form of a hefty diamond necklace, drop earrings and multiple diamond rings. The total effect was super-luxe.

If there’s ever a celebrity whose looks never disappoint, it’s J.Lo, of course. During her AMA performance, the icon was even more illuminated by gigantic diamond stud earrings and a two-stone diamond ring, one of the year’s biggest new trends in jewelry.
