Messika Diamonds Dazzle On the Runway in Paris
Messika brought natural diamonds to Paris Fashion Week’s Pavillon Cambon with the brand’s 10th collection and third High Jewelry show, celebrating their newest collection, Midnight Sun. Artistic Director, Valérie Messika unveiled 140 different natural diamond pieces, from belly chains to modern chokers, diamond-drop earrings and sparkling rings.
A stand-out of the collection was of course the breathtaking Solar Diva—a radiant and intense yellow diamond, weighing almost 35 carats and one of the largest stones set since the beginnings of the High Jewelry Maison.
“Midnight Sun is a reflection of creativity inspired by the extravagance and freedom of legendary night spots of the 70’s like Studio 54, The Palace and Chez Régine” reads a press release from the Maison. Designer Nix Lecourt Mansion created 30 exclusive looks for the runway, all styled by Héléna Tejedor.
The front row was glittering as well with Hollywood stars and icons such as Cher, Ester Expósito, Carla Bruni, Ashley Graham, Taraji P. Henson, Nicola Coughlan, Kelly Rowland, Ed Westwick, Amy Jackson, Joy Crookes, Sara Sampaio, Damson Idris and more.
The runway itself featured some of the industry’s most famous model faces like Carla Bruni, Taylor Hill, Grace Elisabeth, Alton Mason and Adut Akech. The show began with a live broadcast for the Maison on social media, hosted by Ashley Graham, and ended with an epic performance from Ava Max.
