Take a deep dive into the dazzling diamonds worn by our favorite stars at the Met Gala 2026, featuring jewellery that doubles as wearable art from Briony Raymond, Chopard, De Beers, Tiffany & Co., and more.

The Met Gala 2026 is finally here, and we’re here to provide you with all the illustrious and luminous diamond jewellery details on your favorite celebrities, from Nicole Kidman to Beyoncé. A world stage for jewellery designers, natural diamonds adorn the ears, necks, fingers, and lapels of attendees, with artistic creations, historic stones, and immaculate settings.
Each year since 1948, an exclusive assembly of A-list guests gather in New York City for fashion’s biggest night, the Met Gala. On the first Monday in May, celebrities, designers, industry icons, and socialites all come together at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, looking their very best in over-the-top couture ensembles and exuberant natural diamond jewels.
First established by Eleanor Lambert, the fashion publicist who implemented New York Fashion Week and the International Best Dressed List, the Met Ball’s origins came from more modest means. When Vogue editor Diana Vreeland took the reins in the 1970s, the gala’s notoriety reached new heights and only continued to rise through Anna Wintour’s tenure at the helm of the annual fête.
A fresh set of co-chairs and new host committee members includes Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour. Beyoncé has attended the Met Gala seven times, with this year marking her first appearance after a 10-year hiatus. Kidman has attended the Met Gala six times, previously co-hosting the event in 2003 and 2005, while Williams has attended a total of five times.
This year, the Gala will debut the exhibition, “Costume Art,” curated by Andrew Bolton, which will explore the juxtaposition between garments and works of art, along with “the complex interplay between artistic representations of the body and fashion as an embodied art form,” according to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The Gala dress code will be “Fashion Is Art,” inviting its esteemed guests to express their individual and unique relationship to fashion as an art form and celebrate depictions of the dressed body throughout history.
A tour de force of fashion’s finest, we’re looking back on some of the most radical natural diamond jewellery moments to take the Met staircase at the Met Gala 2026.
